CINCINNATI, Ohio -- University of Cincinnati seniors Adam Roberts and Chet Ervin have been selected to play in the All-American Classic college football all-star game in Las Vegas on Jan. 14.

Roberts, the Bearcats' 6-3, 255-pound defensive end from Brooklyn, N.Y., led UC in sacks (6.0) and tackles for loss (12.5) and was the team's seventh-leading tackler (50) in 2005. He earned the Claude Rost Award as UC's Most Valuable Player and the John Pease Award as the team's most outstanding defensive lineman.

Ervin, a 6-3, 190-pound kicking specialist from Sulphur, Ky., handled the punting duties for the past four seasons, and set new Cincinnati career marks for punts (241) and punting yards (9,446). He averaged 39.3 yards per punt in 2005 and was co-recipient of UC's Special Teams Player of the Year award.

Both Bearcats hope the exposure helps them draw the attention of NFL teams. Twenty-eight players from last year's game were on NFL rosters this season.

The fifth annual All-American Classic will be played at Sam Boyd Stadium and will be televised by FOX Sports. Kickoff is 10:30 p.m. EST on Jan. 14.
