ORLANDO, Fla.--For the third consecutive year, the University of Cincinnati dance team has captured the National Championship in the hip-hop category at the National Cheer and Dance Championships, held this weekend at Walt Disney's Wide World of Sports.

UC, now a three-time defending National Champion, has won every hip-hop crown since the addition of the category in 2004. The dancers also advanced to the finals of the Division IA jazz category, placing sixth.
The Bearcats cheerleaders were also in competition with the all-girl squad leading the way. UC placed eighth overall amongst a field of 15 teams.
