, -- Sophomore Brittany Klima (/Ottoville) broke her own school record in the pole vault, highlighting the day's action at the Ohio State Invitational at OSU's French Fieldhouse. Klima was one of four event champions.

Klima cleared 12' 6-1/4"in winning the pole vault, breaking her own school record that she shared with teammate Tara Meier (/Colerain). Senior Erin Leeper (/Cincinnati Hills Christian Acad.) captured the 400 meter dash crown in 58.25. Junior Renee Hein (, /Mother of Mercy) won the high jump, clearing 5' 8-1/2" and sophomore Ije Obiorah (/Washburn Rural) grabbed the long jump crown with an 18' 6-1/2" leap. Klima, Leeper and Obiorah also placed in the top five in the high jump (fifth, 5' 1-3/4"), long jump (fourth, 17' 5-1/4") and triple jump (fifth, 36' 2-3/4"), respectively.

The Bearcats had six other top-five finishers. The 4x400 relay team of Dominique Davis (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville), Jammie Jackson (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods), Camron Turner (Columbus, Ohio/Eastmoor Academy), and Leeper placed second in 3:57.13. Turner and Ashley Ogletree (/Winton Woods) were fourth (26.11) and fifth (26.12), respectively in the 200 meter dash. finished second behind Leeper in the 400, crossing the line in 58.84. Jocelyn Gibson (, /Lambton Central) was second in the 1,000 meters (2:59.61), while Monica Hundley (, /) placed fifth in the 55 hurdles (8.45).
