MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- The University of Cincinnati tennis team dropped its second BIG EAST match of the weekend when it fell to West Virginia, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the RidgeView Racquet Club.

The Mountaineers (2-2) swept the doubles matches for the first point. The best match was at No. 1 where Raynie Theis and Stacey Percival outlasted UC's (0-5) Hannah Hinton and Elizabeth Young, 8-4.

In singles play, WVU took all six matches in straight sets. Playing in the top spot for the Bearcats, freshman Elizabeth Young dropped the first set to Monica Lyskawa 6-0, but rebounded and was edged 7-5 in the second. Similarly, at the No. 4 position Jill Klauck dropped the initial set 6-1 to Colleen Speaker before falling in a tie-breaker in the second set, 7-6 (7-2).

UC travels to Louisville next weekend to face the Cardinals on Saturday, Feb. 11 and then former Conference USA foe Southern Miss on Sunday, Feb. 12.
