LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The 75th-ranked Louisville tennis team was too much for Cincinnati, sweeping to a 7-0 victory at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center in Louisville on Friday evening.
The Cardinals, who improved to 8-1 with the win, dropped more than one game in just one set in the six singles matches. Lindsay Willeford had the most success for UC (0-6), falling to Robyn White at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-0. At the second doubles spot, Willeford teamed with Jenny Rowen and was edged, 8-5, by Bianca Gorbea and Stephania Velazquez.
The Bearcats remain in Louisville to face former Conference USA foe Southern Miss on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 5 p.m.
