SETTING THE SCENE: Cincinnati opens play in its first BIG EAST Championship when the 11th-seeded Bearcats face sixth-seeded Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 4 at 8 p.m. at the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Conn. The Bearcats have dropped their last two to fall to 17-10 and finish the season 7-9 in the league. Pitt is 18-9 this year and finished just two games ahead of UC at 9-7 in the BIG EAST. The Bearcats will be out to avenge a buzzer-beating, 64-63, win by the Panthers in the regular season meeting between the schools in Fifth Third Arena.
