SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- A depleted Bearcat tennis team fell at Syracuse, 7-0, on Friday night at Drumlins Tennis Club.
Playing with only four healthy singles players, UC (0-12) was forced to forfeit one doubles match and two singles matches.
Hannah Hinton and Elizabeth Young were edged, 8-5, at number two doubles as SU (6-3) took the doubles point.
All four singles matches were completed in straight-sets. The closest match was at number two, where Lindsay Willeford was defeated, 7-5, 6-3, by Katie Bramante.
UC stays in Syracuse to play Rutgers on Saturday at 1 p.m.
