UC, 19-11, garnered the eighth seed in the tournament with an 8-8 league ledger, capped by Saturday's 78-75 upset of No. 16 West Virginia. Syracuse, also 19-11, finished with the ninth seed after its 92-82 loss to Villanova, which dropped the Orange to 7-9 in league play.
The winner will face BIG EAST co-champion Connecticut (27-2) at noon on Thursday.
All games will be televised by ESPN.
