CINCINNATI, Ohio---The University of Cincinnati rowing team will travel to Austin, Texas on March 17 to prepare for their upcoming spring season. The squad of 42 student-athletes will spend the week training on Town Lake of the Austin Rowing Club before competing in their first race against Texas and Kansas on Saturday, March 25.

"We are very excited about this trip," stated UC head coach Pam Mork. "It is always good to train together away from campus and I think our team will learn a great deal and get a chance to bond together. With alot of hard work, I think the team will benefit greatly from this trip.

"Our race at the end of the week is an excellent way to start our spring season," Mork continued. "The teams we will face have exceptionally good speed and are strong programs with history and tradition. This is a teriffic way to open our spring season."

The highlight of the Bearcats' fall season was marked by three top-10 finishes at The Head of the Elk Regatta in Elkhart, Ind. on Oct. 30. The team concluded the fall with another top-10 finish by the novice eight at the Rivanna Romp in Charlottesville, Virginia on Nov. 13.
