INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.---Behind career-best rounds from Joe Young and Paul Marshall, the University of Cincinnati men's golf team has won the Butler Spring Invitational. The Bearcats shot a combined score of 300 to secure a two shot advantage over the University of Indianapolis. Due to the threat of inclement weather, the tournament was reduced to just 18 holes.
Young won the individual title after shooting a personal-low round of 70. Marshall, playing just his third round of collegiate golf, shot a 73 to finish tied for third. Senior John Clodfelder also finished in the top-20, tied for 18th after a round of 78.
The Bearcats return to action beginning on March 31 for the two-day Eastern Kentucky Spring Invitational.
