CITRUS SPRINGS, Fla.---Four Cincinnati players are tied for 38th, leading the Bearcats' participation in the fourth annual Lady Herd/El Diablo Intercollegiate, which got underway on Monday at the El Diablo Golf and Country Club. UC sits in 12th place in the team standings through 36 holes of play.
UC's sophomore duo of Hillery Wilson and Allison Mayborg both recovered from tough first round performances to record totals of 80 and 81 in the second round. Marianne Erb and Mya Pronschinske are also tied for 38th, all with identical scores of 166.
In the team standings, Maryland holds a 10 stroke lead over Florida Atlantic in the battle for the team title. UC concluded day one of the tournament with a 36-hole total of 662. The Bearcats trail 11th place Marshall by just one stroke and are only two strokes behind 10th place Boston College.
June Bolme of Florida Atlantic shot rounds of 78 and 70 to take a three stroke lead at the top of the individual leader board with a score of 148.
The Lady Herd/El Diablo Intercollegiate concludes on Tuesday beginning at 7:30 a.m. with the final 18 holes of play.
