Like a lot of college students, the University of Cincinnati men's soccer team has traveled to Florida for spring break. Unlike most college students, the Bearcats are preparing for the upcoming fall season with two-a-day training sessions and matches against the U.S. U-17 National Team, Central Florida, and Rollins College. Over the next six days, the UC players will share their experiences through the UC Soccer Spring Break Diaries. Today's entry was submitted by Amir Ikner.

The team was ready for the game later on today and coach was highly anticipated and in his normal game-day mood. It was a normal breakfast: bagels, fruit, juice, and cereal. The day itself was extremely long, we traveled all day and stayed jammed next to each other inside a circus-like van for hours and I guess you could say, bonded. Game-time finally arrived and we were all thrilled to finally play against an opponent instead of one another. Everything went smoothly and the result was a 3-0 win for the . Afterwards, it was time to hit the showers and get back in the vans for our long drive back to where we would await to see what we would do the following day. As I lay here, I reflect on what a great day it has been and am excited to see what tomorrow brings.
