- The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team has added four student-athletes to its 2006 recruiting class. Marcus Hairston, Luke Henke, Judson McKinney and Matthew Williams will each continue their academic and athletic careers at UC in the fall of 2006.

"We are extremely pleased to have these four talented student-athletes join our program," head coach Hylton Dayes said. "They bring a winning attitude and we anticipate a number of them competing for playing time immediately."

Hairston, a 5-8 midfielder, was a four-year starter at , earning district championships as both a junior and senior. The , native was a five-year starter on the Mississippi Olympic Development Program (ODP) state team and a Region III ODP pool player. Top Drawer Soccer named Hairston a "Top Player to Watch" during his high school years. A member of the SuperClubs National Team, Hairston helped the Central Jackson Soccer Organization club team to three consecutive state titles and a SuperClubs Regional Championship. The son of Alfonzo and Brenda Hairston, he plans to major in physical therapy.

Henke, a 5-10 defender, was a four-year letterwinner and all-conference selection at , where he holds the single season and career goal scoring records. As a senior, he was named a first team Lutheran All-American. Henke's Brookfield Red club team won the 2003 and 2005 state championships. A four year member of the Wisconsin ODP state team, Henke spent two years as a member of the Region II ODP player pool. The son of Rob and Jean Henke plans to major in business at UC.

, a 6-1 defender/midfielder, led to a 72-9-6 record during his four-year career and the 2004 state championship. He was a two-time all-county selection and earned first team all-district honors as a senior. A member of the North ODP state team, was also selected for the U-17 Super Y-League (SYL) National Team. The son of Jim and Dawn McKinney, he plans to major in engineering.

Williams, a 6-4 goalkeeper, held a 0.47 goals against average as a senior at , earning all-state and All-Western Maine honors. The , native allowed just 12 goals in 25 career matches. A three-time state champion with his Odyssey Sport club team, Williams was a U-17 SYL New England Regional team member and a SYL National Team selection. The son of Cathy Williams and Rick Libby, he plans to major in secondary education.

"With the other players we added earlier this spring, we feel that this is one of the most talented and deepest recruiting classes that we have had here at Cincinnati," Dayes added.

Hylton Dayes on Hairston: "Marcus is a very creative player with excellent speed and agility. He has tremendous potential and we feel that he could be a hidden gem. With his ability to take on defenders, he should develop into an excellent attacking player for us."

Hylton Dayes on Henke: "Luke is a smart player and a hard worker. He could really be the sleeper in this recruiting class. He provides another option along the backline and will compete for playing time."
