-The University of Cincinnati men's and women's soccer teams held their Alumni Weekend festivities today in Gettler Stadium. The day began as members of both teams held a free soccer clinic, and concluded with each team's respective matches.
The free clinic, attended by nearly 100 youth, focused on teaching basic soccer skills and was lead by members of both the men's and women's teams. The budding stars learned and practiced dribbling, passing, and shooting techniques. After the clinic, members of both teams signed autographs and gave away prizes.
The next event of the day featured the current men's soccer team as they took on their alumni. The present Bearcats took the 3-0 win. Junior Omar Cummings scored two goals, while Kenny Anaba added one for UC.
The women's alumni match concluded the day as the current team and their alumni played to a 1-1 draw. Junior Jessica Legge found the back of the net for the Bearcats, as former great Tasha Wagner retaliated for the alumni.
