University of Cincinnati senior Adam Roberts has signed a free agent contract with the Tennessee Titans.
The 6-3, 255-pound defensive end will begin participating in the team's minicamps later this month. He has already completed his degree in communications.
Roberts was a three-year regular for the Bearcats. He started at defensive tackle in 2004 and was moved to end last season and became the big play-maker of the defensive front. Roberts led UC in tackles for loss (12.5) and sacks (6) and was seventh in total tackles (50).
The Brooklyn, N.Y. native was awarded the Claude Rost Award as UC's most valuable player.
