UC Football Team to Participate in Walk for Wishes

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The University of Cincinnati football team will participate in the third annual Walk for Wishes, sponsored by the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

The event, to be held on Saturday, May 20 at Coney Island, will raise money for granting wishes to the Wish Kids in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The walk will start at 10 a.m.

The Bearcat football squad will enter two teams in the walk, one composed of UC's offensive players and one with defensive players. The two groups will be challenged to see which one can raise the most money for the walk.

Donations are being accepted on-line at the Walk for Wishes web site (www.makeawishohio.org.kintera.org/walkforwishescinci). The teams are listed in the team ranking section on the right side of the web page.
