CINCINNATI, Ohio---University of Cincinnati head volleyball coach Reed Sunahara, along with freshmen Jessica Elley and Lindsey Peterson will spend the next 10 days in Argentina, as part of the Bring It Promotions All-True Freshman USA Select Team.
Bring It Promotions, under sanction from the USA Volleyball Federation, will have two teams, one freshman and "A" team competing against the Argentina National Team and Junior National Teams. Matches as part of the tour run from June 1-June 8, with a free day on the 9th.
Sunahara, along with Ohio University head coach Geoff Carlston will lead the Freshman squad that includes both Elley (Gilbert, Ariz./Gilbert) and Peterson (Arlington, Texas/Lamar). The team is made up of 12 of the nation's best young players from across the country.
This marks the second consecutive year that Cincinnati has been represented in Argentina. Redshirt freshman Jessie Nevitt made the trip last year and used the experience to become BIG EAST Rookie of the Year and an honorable mention All-American for 2005.
