BILLINGS, Mont.---The professional career of University of Cincinnati product Logan Parker got off to a great start on Tuesday night as the Odessa, Texas native, helped the Billings Mustangs to a 12-2 win over the Great Falls White Sox in the Pioneer League season opener.
Parker went 2 for 4 at the plate, scoring two runs and driving in another, while also collecting his first double of the year. In the field, Parker who started at first base and hit fourth in the line-up, handled 10 chances without an error.
Parker made an immediate impact on the contest, as his first inning RBI single pushed Billings to a 1-0 lead. He would later score on a Michael McKennon grand slam that staked the Mustangs to a 5-0 lead after one inning. In the third inning, Parker led the frame off with a double and scored again, this time on an RBI triple by McKennon.
Billings continues a four-game series with Great Falls tonight, with first pitch from Cobb Field set for 9:05 p.m. ET.
