CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - University of Cincinnati women's linksters Sarah Bires (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville), Marianne Erb (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) and Hillery Wilson (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) have been named to the the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.

Bires carried an 83.5 scoring average during the 2005-06 season, with a low round of 76 on two occasions. A third-year early childhood education major, Bires holds a 3.70 GPA.

Erb, whose 81.1 scoring average ranked fourth on the team, fired a low round of 73 at the UCF Invitational. She finished third at the Krump Kup in helping the Bearcats to a team victory. A marketing major, Erb carries a 3.92 GPA into her sophomore year.

enjoyed one of the best seasons ever by a UC women's golfer, winning four tournaments and adding three runner-up performances. The sophomore fired a 69 at the Dayton Fall Invitational, the lowest score ever recorded by a UC women's golfer. She led the Bearcats with a 76.7 scoring average, the lowest in school history, and has 13 top-10 finishes in 22 career tournaments. An accounting major, holds a 3.55 GPA.

The trio of Bearcats were among the 242 Division I women's golfers to earn the honor. Membership on the squad requires a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and participation in half of the team's competitions.
