Today the team met early morning for pictures. Individuals, team, action and coaches shots were taken throughout the morning for the media. An afternoon of meetings was ahead for the team to look into the goals and aspirations for the team. What it came down to, as Defensive Coordinator Pat Narduzzi said, "We are trying to give the guys things to think about."

The 20 new freshmen were able to go through the basics and get the mentality the coaches are looking for. The freshman also attended a meeting with UC staff to go through academic and other requirements for the year.

The more experienced players were able to help set the sights for what is wanted from the team. Leadership by some players is starting to take place offensively and defensively. The day without pads allowed players to visualize what they needed to be looking for and all in all, as Coach Narduzzi added, "We are playing flag football right now."

Head Coach Mark Dantonio explained the day as a media day with the pictures, many meetings and then an evening overview of pretty much all of the team members. Entering his third season Dantonio said, "all in all it was organized and a lot of enthusiasm, probably much like 117 other teams."
