WEST HARRISON, - A change of venue to highlighted Monday morning for the football program. The team is scheduled to spend the next 11 days at Higher Ground.

After unpacking, the Bearcats went through the paces of a full practice on the two FieldTurf fields at Higher Ground. They continue to make strides to meet the demands of head coach Mark Dantonio.

"I keep saying it over and over, the retention of our players continues to be the key," Dantonio said. "I see the younger players getting in, but the older guys came to camp in shape and they are playing well. We ran the ball effectively today and we passed the ball effectively, too. On the defensive side, we did some things well this morning."

The Bearcats will conduct the second half of Monday's two-a-day practice wearing shells. A 90-minute workout, emphasizing special teams, is on the docket.
