WEST HARRISON, Ind. - On Day Two of its stay at the Higher Ground Conference Center, the University of Cincinnati football team held a single practice. The workout wrapped up with a controlled scrimmage that culminated with a spirited sequence of goal line plays.

"We scrimmaged with a little more control than just running 100 plays," stated head coach Mark Dantonio. "Our guys competed today. We saw some good things on both sides of the ball and I think we took a step forward.

The Bearcats continue to emphasize teambuilding while at Higher Ground. The daily preseason routine calls for teambuilding exercises before the morning practice and a nightly session that includes coaches teaching from the book, It's Your Ship.

Dantonio and the Bearcats are expected to return to the field for a pair of practices on Wednesday.
