Wilson Runner-Up At Ohio Women's Open

DEFIANCE, Ohio---Hillery Wilson added another accomplishment to her resume as she earned runner-up honors in the amateur division at the Ohio Women's Open. The event was held on Aug. 14-15 at Kettenring Country Club in Defiance.

Wilson, a junior-to-be at the University of Cincinnati, shot rounds of 75 and 74 to end the tournament at 149. The Hudson, Ohio native finished just one stroke back of the amateur title and placed ninth in the overall standings.

It has been a busy summer for Wilson, who qualified for and played in the U.S. Women's Amateur Open earlier this month, finishing tied for 119th in the stroke play portion of the prestigious event. Wilson tallied rounds of 84 and 76 at the Open.

At UC during the 2005-06 season, Wilson won four tournaments, while setting school records for lowest single round (69) and best season average (76.7).
