CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The football team will be previewed in a special half-hour show aired three times on WXIX-TV 19.
The show featuring head coach Mark Dantonio and hosted by Fox 19 sports director Giesenschlag will air on Saturday Aug. 26 at and repeat on Sunday Aug. 27 at and on Friday night Sept. 1 at 12:30 a.m. It will also be available for pod-cast via a link on the UC athletics web site GoBEARCATS.com.
The preview show will be a precursor of the weekly Mark Dantonio Show which this season will move from Sunday mornings to the Friday night time slot.
The change in air time for the show will enable WXIX and UC to expand the information in each show and will make the show more preview-oriented. Fans can expect more in-depth features and a comprehensive look inside of the Bearcat program.
As a convenience to UC fans the weekly Mark Dantonio Show will also be made available free of charge via pod-cast on GoBEARCATS.com. Additionally, extensive complimentary highlights packages from each game will be produced and made available on GoBEARCATS.com via the CATSvision All-Access package. These highlights will also be shown on WXIX-TV's ten o'clock news per a schedule to be determined each week.
Dantonio will be the guest on the Sports of All Sorts show on WCPO-TV 9 on Sunday evening (Aug. 27). The Bearcats' head coach will preview the 2006 football season and take call on the show, which begins at 11:30 p.m., hosted by WCPO sports director John Popovich.
