CINCINNATI, Ohio - Freshman Andrea Kaminski posted her second consecutive shutout in the University of Cincinnati women's soccer team's 0-0 double-overtime draw against Purdue on Tuesday night at Gettler Stadium. The Bearcats move to 1-0-1 on the young season, while the Boilermakers go to 1-1-1.

Shots were in abundance, but quality scoring opportunities were scarce. Purdue attempted 25 shots and managed to get five on frame, while the Bearcats fired 15 times with two in goal.

Kaminski, the reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, made a tremendous one-handed save on Purdue's Parrissa Eyorokon in the 41st minute, pushing the driving shot over the crossbar to preserve the 0-0 tie.

UC had a golden opportunity in the final minutes of regulation when freshman Melissa Bigg slid a crossing pass all the way through the box to a wide-open Kristin May. May couldn't get a foot on the cross and the ball floated harmlessly over the endline.

In the 108th minute, Purdue's Jill Sarbaugh clanged a shot off the crossbar, just out of reach of Kaminski, sending a scare through the Bearcats faithful. The ball was eventually cleared by the Bearcats defense and time expired on UC's first scoreless tie since a 0-0 draw with DePaul on Sept. 25, 2005.

UC is next in action on Friday, Sept. 1, as the Bearcats travel to to renew the rivalry with (). The Bearcats and RedHawks will kick off at 4 p.m.
