CINCINNATI, Ohio---Nate Fish, who played baseball at the University of Cincinnati from 1999-2002, is on track to resume his playing career in a land not known for action on the diamond. After a recent trip to Israel, Fish was invited back for a second camp next spring as the Israel Baseball League will kick off next summer.

The league is being spearheaded by former Boston Red Sox and Montreal Expos General Manager Dan Duquette. The six-team league will being play on June 22, 2007 with the first of a 48-game schedule.

During his four years at UC, Fish appeared in 181 games, batting .249 with 22 doubles, 13 home runs and 71 RBI. He saved his best season for his senior year, when he hit a career-high .287 with six doubles, seven home runs and 25 RBI. During that 2002 season, Fish tied a school record with six hits in a game against Miami (Ohio).
