-- The first in a series of monthly open forums for fans to give their opinions and ask questions about the operations of UC Athletics will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2006. Fans attending this week's meeting will get a tour of the UC Football Locker Room, plus other areas of which are recently completed.
The monthly forums will be held on the first Wednesday of each month and will take place in the auditorium of the newly opened in the Fifth Floor Auditorium. Each forum is open to the public and will last from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
This outreach initiative is a continuation of the series of meetings held in June and July where various UC Athletics stakeholders participated in the process of defining the Bearcat mascot.
"Having our fans play a role in the direction of our department is a point of emphasis with our CATAPULT plan" stated director of athletics Mike Thomas. "Through these sessions, our staff looks forward to meeting fans and receiving some great feedback as well as answering any and all questions about the direction that our department is headed. If people have opinions on UC Athletics, now is the time to let your voice be heard."
