BOWLING GREEN, Ohio-The men's cross-country team had a successful finish at the Mel Brodt meet on Saturday Sept. 16, in Bowling Green, Ohio. The men competed against Bowling Green State University, Eastern Michigan University, Ohio University, Youngstown, and Central Michigan University. Although Eastern Michigan walked away with the win, the Bearcats were able to grab the second place title.

With 56 men's runners competing for first place the Bearcats stayed confident and junior John Dixon (25:07.08) took the third place finish. Other Bearcats finishing in the top 25 were; Tommy Morgan placing 13th, Taylor Garvin 14th, Randy King 21st, and Kevin Schwartz finished 24th.

Following the past weekend races, the future for the men's and women's cross-country teams look bright as both teams have finished either in first or second place in the three meets that the teams have competed in. The Bearcats are looking to expand off of that and take another first place finish at their next meet on Sept. 29 at the Notre Dame Invitational at South Bend, Ind
