    • CINCINNATI, --- The University of Cincinnati Bearcat golf teams split with Friday and claimed the "Cross River Shootout" title at Elks Run Golf Course.

    defeated the UC men's golf team by a score of 290-301. Senior Joe Young shot a season-best 72 to lead the Bearcats and fellow senior Geoff Newman carded a 74.

    "The guys team is still working on finishing out the final three holes of a round," said Carl. "Once they learn to close it out, we will see a lot of progression."

    The Bearcats claimed the "Cross River Shootout" 296-306. The winning team was determined by combining the best two scores from the men and women of each team. 's scores of Young (72), Newman (74), Stamper (75) and Mayborg (75) clinched the title for UC.
