, -- The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving teams will host the Grand Opening Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 21, in the new . The facility will be officially dedicated in honor of Bill Keating, Sr. as part of the Grand Opening festivities throughout the day.
The Grand Opening Invitational will get underway at 1 p.m. with UC taking on and Xavier. The Bearcats will host the Alumni Meet during the Grand Opening Invitational, welcoming former swimmers back to campus to compete with the current squad.
An alumni luncheon will follow in the UCATS lounge on the fifth floor of Fifth Third Arena. The cost of the luncheon is $20 per person and will include a Bearcats t-shirt.
Swimming alums are also encouraged to stick around and support the UC football team when it plays host to USF on Sunday, Oct. 22. Special discounted rates are available for alumni.
With the opening of the , the Bearcats will be hosting six home meets this season. In addition to the Grand Opening Invitational, UC will welcome BIG EAST foes and to campus as well as regional rivals and ().
