FRANKLIN, Ind.---Hillery Wilson is tied for 24th overall, leading the University of Cincinnati women's golf team after one day of play at the Legends of Indiana Shootout. With only 18 holes remaining, Wilson is just four shots out of the top-10.
Wilson opened play with a team-best round of 75 and followed it up with a 76 to finish the opening day at 151. Behind the junior, the balance of the Bearcats are all within three strokes of each other with scores ranging from 157 to 160. Sophomore Sarah Stamper is next in line after rounds of 77 and 80 produced a tie for 57th and a 36-hole score of 157. Tammy Clelland of Toledo and Mary Matson of Campbell are tied for the top spot with scores of 142.
The team standings show the Bearcats sharing 14th place with Ball State with a total of 624. Campbell holds a six-shot lead over Toledo at the top of the leaderboard with a score of 587.
The tournament wraps up with the final 18 holes on Tuesday, beginning at 8 a.m.
