PRE-NATIONALS: Traveling to Terre Haute, Ind., the men and women of the 2006 University of Cincinnati cross country teams will be ready for the Brooks Pre-National Championships. The race will be the same course as the Nationals this year, so every team will be able to get a feel for just what lies ahead.

PRE-NATIONALS BRINGS BIG TEAMS: The Bearcats will face big competition as they go to Terre Haute, Ind. for the Brooks Pre-National Championships. The meet will feature 2005 NCAA champions, Colorado, and also 25 of the top 30 teams in the nation. The race will be a great indication for the rest of the season and the Bearcats will have a chance to prove that they will be able to run with the big teams.

ALL-OHIO HIGHLIGHTED UC: Both the men's and women's teams gave the All-Ohio meet all they had this past Friday. The men finished 2nd out of 42 teams, while the women finished 9th out of 38 teams.

For the men's team Randy King was the top Bearcat finishing 10th, followed by Kevin Shwartz placing 15th and John Dixon finishing right behind to take the 16th place finish. Other Bearcat's that brought in the points were, David Adams, Taylor Garvin, Solomon Kessio, and Tommy Morgan, who all placed in the top 30.

Although the women finished 9th, they looked strong with Jennifer Hannen placing 22nd, Megan Knapp 36th and other contributors including, Nichole Leslie, Tamara Masters, Julie Horn, Kayla Phelps, and Amy Schoenfeld.

MEN RANKED REGIONALLY: The University of Cincinnati Men's cross country team is now ranked 13th in the Great Lakes Region of the USCCCA polls and with the 2nd place finish at All-Ohio and a big finish this weekend, they're heading towards the top.

KING, HANNEN LEADING THE PACK: Sophomore Randy King, and junior Jennifer Hannen have stepped up to keep the pace up and going strong for the Bearcats. King took the team's top finish at the Virginia Military Invitational placing 2nd and doesn't show signs of slowing down. Hannen placed 3rd in her first 2 meets and continues to prove that she has the strength and endurance. Both King and Hannen will be setting the quick pace for the Bearcats at the Pre-Nationals.
