The men competed in the White division and finished 26th . Junior John Dixon was there to lead the Bearcats pack and finish 74th out of more than 200 runners. On the women's side, UC placed in the open division and were able produced a 7th place finish. Megan Knapp was the first Bearcat to cross the finish line for the women placing 11th, with Jennifer Hannen, and Nichole Leslie close behind finishing 16th and 19th, respectively.
MEN CLIMBING THE POLLS: The men's University of Cincinnati cross country team has moved up the polls from 13th last week to 11th place in the Great Lakes Region in the current USCCCA polls.
TOP BEARCATS: This season has brought out some suprising leaders within the Bearcats teams. On both the men's and women's sides the young Bearcats have been stepping up and leading the packs. For the men's team Freshman Solomon Kessio has been quite impressive all season and even received his first collegiate win at the Queen City Invitational. With no seniors running so far this year Sophomores Megan Knapp and Jennifer Hannen along with Junior Nichole Leslie have really stepped up to the leadership role.
UP NEXT: The Bearcats will be on the move to the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals in Bowling Green, Ohio on Saturday, Nov. 11.
