- The University of Cincinnati cross country teams competed on Friday, Oct. 27, at the BIG EAST Championships. The men's team finished 9th, while the women placed 11th in the Bearcats' second BIG EAST Championships. On both the men and women's sides swept the race and Providences' Martin Fagan ran a BIG EAST course-record with the time of 23:09.

On the men's side, the Bearcats' John Dixon captured the top finish, placing 39th (24:40). Rick King took the second men's finish for UC placing 55th (25:04), with Solomon Kessio (64th), and David Adams (65th) finishing close behind.

The women finished the meet with an 11th place finish and Megan Knapp again lead the Bearcats, taking 54th place (22:47). Jennifer Hannen (60th), Nichole Leslie (62nd), and Tamara Masters (68th) finished close behind Knapp.

The Bearcats will be back in action on Nov. 11 for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional meet in .
