HANOVER, N.H. -- Cincinnati senior Hannah Hinton was defeated in the singles final of the Big Green Invitational on Monday, Oct. 30, falling to Rhode Island's Lara Maurer, 7-5, 6-2.

Hinton won her first four matches to reach the tourney final, defeating the three seed and the eight seed. Hinton finished the fall season with a 7-3 singles mark. She also reached the semifinals of the doubles draw playing with freshman Rachel Owens.

This tournament, hosted by Dartmouth, is the final of the fall season for the Bearcats. They begin dual match play in January.
