SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.---Hillery Wilson earned her fourth top-10 finish of the season, placing seventh as the University of Cincinnati women's golf team wrapped up its fall season on Tuesday at the Ross Resorts Invitational. Wilson shot a final round 78 to end the tournament with a score of 228.
The junior narrowly missed her third top-five of the year, finishing just two shots out of a two-way tie for the fourth position. Sophomore Marianne Erb was the second-highest placing Bearcat, ending tied for 31st after a final round 80 pushed her three-round score to 237. Despite a round of 76, Rollins' Vanessa Vela won the individual title by six shots with a total of 218.
The team standings showed Cincinnati in seventh with a score of 942. UC trailed Middle Tennessee State by only three shots. Rollins also won the team title with a 902, five better than Princeton.
The Bearcats will now be idle from competition until February, when they play at the Baja Invitational in Baja, Mexico.
