Providence proved to be the best BIG EAST competitors with their men and women taking the top finish. Providence senior Martin Fagan finished as the individual men's champion for the second straight season in a course record time of 23:09. The Bearcats, took on the tough competition in full stride and did beat five BIG EAST competitors. The men finished 9th place while the women finished 11th place in the UC's second ever BIG EAST Championships.

KNAPP, DIXON LEAD THE BEARCATS AGAIN: Sophomore Megan Knapp, and junior John Dixon took the Bearcats top finishing places once again at the BIG EAST Championships. Dixon finished 39th place with a time of 24:40 followed by Taylor Garvin 45th-24:49, Randy King 48th-24:55, and Rick King 55th-25:04 not far behind.
