On the West Virginia Game:
"I thought we went down to West Virginia focused. We knew it was going to be a difficult situation coming in to the game, playing away from home, against an option-style of offense and against a defense that was a little 30 Stack."
"I thought we got off to an OK start. We took It was the first time in 19 games that West Virginia had been held scoreless in the first quarter."
"In the end, we said we had to play perfect football defensively and offensively. Big plays hurt us. We had five big plays go against us, particularly in the second and the beginning of the third quarters."
"We said we had to forced turnovers. We didn't get the turnovers. When they did fumble the football four times, it bounced right back to them. The ball didn't bounce our way."
"We did climb back into the game, at 21-10 after the half, and they responded. I give West Virginia credit. They played with a lot of toughness. They are a very good football team."
"Nick Davila did well for us in the second half with some big plays." Connor Barwin played well. I'm not disappointed with the effort in our team, but I was disappointed in the outcome."
On Rutgers:
"Rutgers is an excellent football team. They are No. 15 in the United States in rushing offense and fourth in the conference."
"They have the nation's third leading rusher in Ray Rice. You point to their scoring offense and their total offense, but they are No. 4 in the nation and No. 1 in scoring defense. Their pass defense is No. 2 in the nation and No. 1 in the conference."
"The other statistic that is just as impressive is they have only allowed seven sacks. They are good at protecting the quarterback. They are able to run the football. They do an outstanding job on special teams; they have blocked five kicks. They will bring a tremendous challenge on both sides of the ball."
On Bouncing Back:
"We went into West Virginia with high expectations. We had won four out of our the last five."
"We had our confidence going in and that was deflated. We will bounce back. We always have and we always will. That is the beauty of college athletics. We have the chance to redeem ourselves next week."
