, -- Soccer fans can get an early season look at both the men's and women's teams for the price of one ticket on Tuesday, Aug. 29. The Bearcats are hosting one of two 2006 doubleheaders starting with the men's match against 2005 NCAA participant Bradley at 5 p.m. The women follow, taking on former UC assistant Rob Klatte and No. 21 Purdue at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Groups of 10 or more can attend for just $1 per person. Season tickets and Olympic Sports Passes are available now by calling 1-877-CATS-TIX or by clicking here!.
UC players and coaches will sign autographs after their respective matches on the Gettler Stadium concourse. Bryan Kaiser of the UC marketing staff will be on hand, passing out free posters, schedule cards and ticket information.
As always, the Ben & Jerry's Five Minute Frenzy offers fans a chance at earning some free ice cream from the Ben & Jerry's located on just above Gettler Stadium. If the Bearcats score in the final five minutes of the first half, everyone in attendance will receive a free ice cream or second scoop with the purchase of a regularly-priced ice cream.
It is Sycamore Soccer Club Day and the Bearcats are expecting over 50 boys and girls soccer players along with their parents.
Head coach Hylton Dayes' men's team topped rival Xavier, 2-1, in overtime on Friday night, while Meridy Glenn's women are coming off a 1-0 win against Kentucky in their opener. Bradley (1-0-1) was the 2005 Missouri Valley Conference Champions and made an appearance in the 2005 NCAA College Cup. Purdue, ranked No. 21 in the nation, comes to Gettler Stadium with a 1-1-0 record.
