BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The UC women's indoor track and field team earned two event wins and three second place finishes at the Gladstein Invitational hosted by Indiana on January 26 and 27. School-record holders Renee Hein and Brittany Klima brought home championships in the high jump and pole vault, respectively.

Hein's jump of 1.83 meters was just short of the school record she set in December and Klima cleared a height of 3.65 meters. Tara Meier was in the group just behind Klima and finished fourth.

Freshman Lilian Jelimo finished second in the 1 mile run (5:10.53), just .19 seconds behind the winner. Senior Karen Berling was second in the 5,000 meter run (17:40.98) and Monica Hundley was second in the 60 meter hurdles (8.76).

The 4x400 meter relay team of sophomore Dennale Speakman, freshmen Ashley Arnold and Jasmine Cotton and junior Dominique Davis was second in 3:55.68.

The Bearcats are back in Bloomington on February 2 and 3 for the Indiana Relays.
