BAJA, Mexico---Hillery Wilson placed 15th, leading the University of Cincinnati women's golf team in its first tournament of the spring, the Baja Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday. Wilson carded a final round 76 to earn the place.
The team standings saw Cincinnati in ninth place, 13 shots behind eighth-place Winthrop. Toledo ran away with the team title, bettering conference foe Eastern Michigan by 25 shots.
Sarah Stamper was the second-highest finisher for the Bearcats, carding a three-round score of 254 to tie for 30th. Sarah Bires finished only two shots behind Stamper in a tie for 32nd.
The Bearcats return to the links March 9-11, traveling to the Rio Verde Invitational in Rio Verde, Ariz.
