, -- The University of Cincinnati men's soccer team will take on national powers , and during their seven-match spring season, which kicks off on April 7.

The defending BIG EAST Red Division champions, the Bearcats open spring play against and in , on April 7.

UC then travels to to take on the Zips on April 12 at 6 p.m. UC and battled to a 0-0 draw in a spring meeting last season in Gettler Stadium.

The Bearcats then host the Bearcat Invitational on April 15. The three-team invite includes the Cincinnati Kings, a professional squad of the United Soccer League's second division and .

On April 20, UC will take on seven-time NCAA champion in the Literacy Classic in with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

The Blue Chip Showcase follows on April 28 in Gettler Stadium with Xavier taking on at 5 p.m. and UC playing host to , the alma mater of head coach Hylton Dayes, at 7:30 p.m.

On May 6, the spring season will wrap up with the annual Alumni Match. The men's and women's teams will hold a youth clinic prior to the matches and host several alumni activities throughout the weekend.

"This is a very challenging spring schedule and should provide our players with valuable experience as we prepare for the upcoming fall season," said Dayes. "We have a number of young players who will have an opportunity to test themselves against top level competition and compete for starting positions."
