The Bearcats suffered one of their worst first halves of the season, trailing the Scarlet Knights, 45-18, at the break. With the score 5-5, went on a 12-2 run to open a 10-point lead. The game's decisive stretch started with 10:33 remaining and the Knights holding a 19-11 lead. Freshman Epiphanny Prince hit a 3-pointer that started on a 22-2 run that opened a 41-13 advantage with 3:11 left in the half.
The second half saw more of the same, though shot just 58 percent compared to the 68 percent in the first half. The Scarlet Knights went up by as many as 43 with 2:51 to play in the ball game.
Emy Ogide led UC in scoring for the second consecutive game. She posted 14 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal. Carla Jacobs added nine points, three assists and two steals.
RU's Essence Carson led all scorers with 18 and was one of five Scarlet Knights to score in double figures. Kia Vaughn produced a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
