RIO VERDE, Ariz.---Hillery Wilson shot a team-best round of 73, leading the University of Cincinnati women's golf team during the second round of the Rio Verde Invitational on Saturday. Wilson, along with teammate Marianne Erb share a tie for 22nd place in the individual standings.
Wilson bounced back from an opening round 79 to score her lowest round since a 71 on Oct. 16 at the Cincinnati Invitational. Erb added a second round 77 to her opening round total of 75.
The team standings show Cincinnati slipping two places during round two into a tie for 11th. UC, along with Xavier have identical scores of 614. Toledo overcame a nine-stroke deficit after round one to take a two-shot lead over Toledo atop the team leaderboard.
The Rio Verde Invitational concludes with the final 18 holes on Sunday. Live scoring for the entire tournament is available by logging onto www.golfstat.com.
