CRITTENDON, Ky.---The University of Cincinnati men's golf team set a school record with a final round score of 278, winning the LaRosa's Collegiate by five shots on Sunday at the Eagle Creek Country Club. The Bearcats were led by individual medalist Joe Young who won the second tournament of his career.

The final day of the tournament was full of great performances, including two personal-bests. Paul Marshall bettered his career-best by two shots, shooting a final round 67. Fellow sophomore Albert Fernandez matched his previous best with a score of 71. Final places were not immediately available for the tournament.

As a team, the Bearcats' score of 278 was six shots better than the team's previous best this season. UC finished five shots ahead of a second place tie between Northern Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

The Bearcats busy stretch continues as UC will play in the Butler Spring Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. UC enters the event as the defending team champions.
