BRADENTON, Fla.---Hillery Wilson and Marianne Erb each shot rounds of 79 to lead the University of Cincinnati women's golf team during the opening day of play at the USF-Waterlefe Invitational. Wilson fired her 79 in the second round to hold a tie for 18th through 36 holes of play.
Wilson opened the tournament with an 81for a two-round score of 160. Erb struggled in the second round with an 88 to hold a tie for 48th with a score of 167.
The team standings show the Bearcats tied with former Conference USA rival Southern Miss with a score of 656. Maryland holds the top spot in the team standings with a score of 616, seven shots better than Princeton.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday with the final 18 holes from the Waterlefe Golf and River Club.
