OAK RIDGE, Tenn.--- OAK RIDGE, Tenn.---Behind a win from its second varsity eight crew, the University of Cincinnati rowing team earned a split with Drake on Thursday in Oak Ridge, Tenn. The competition against the Bulldogs brings an end to UC's Spring Break training. The Bearcats' winning crew, under the direction of coxswain Mary Locke, dominated the race, winning by 20 seconds in a time of 7:20. The balance of the boat was made up of Lindsay Fattlar, Julie Idoine, Candice DeCree, Katie McGill, Kelly Camp, Deirdre McCartney, Elizabeth Nocheck and Ashley Wolff.

The day's other race was a varsity eight race that saw Drake just edge the Bearcats by a 6:59 to 7:02 clip.

The Bearcats return to the water for their lone home race of the year next Saturday (March 31). That day, UC will host crews from Dayton, Eastern Michigan and Indiana.
