  • Spring Break and Spring Quarter

    Thursday, March 22, 2007

Hey all! Wow, it has been awhile. But anyway, since I last wrote, winter quarter has ended and now spring break is basically over. Winter quarter always seems to go by so fast. What I'll miss most from last quarter was having class with Lindsey Noteboom because I don't really know many other people in my classes. Oh, and also my Introduction to Sociology class with Erin MacDonald! It has been nice to relax a bit over spring break but at the same time I am ready to play as a team again and I miss my teammates. I'm looking forward to next quarter because it is finally springtime... which means everybody is around campus and while the snow was nice for awhile, I am ready for the sun.

Next weekend (Mar. 31) we will be playing , then at the Bearcat Classic which everybody better come to on April 14 (a Saturday) we are playing two games versus and EKU. Brittney Hansen told me she can't wait for the Bearcat Classic... so at least come for her sake. Also, we play Xavier late in April which I am very pumped for and hopefully we have a lot of people come to cheer us on. Then we will have our Alumni game and our make-up game against to finish our spring season.

In case you didn't hear, we already played and , where we lost 2-1 and won 2-1, even though we were winning the first game until the end. We had such good performances from everyone (which is probably why we did so well), but in particular Lisa Clark, Chelsea Kindschuh and Erica Maine were ballers! But considering our injuries and the cold weather we have faced, we knew these were great games even though we did not win both like we wanted.

Well, it is time for me to go buy a book I need since I have homework due and a quiz the first day of classes...but one last thing: since I hear March is National Athletic Training Month I would like to give a shout out to the BEST trainer ever, Theresa Gethins. Theresa is seriously the best trainer I've ever had.

    Check back in soon,

    Kim Sykes
