, -- Dan Ensley, a assistant men's soccer coach for the last two seasons, has been promoted to Associate Head Coach. Ensley remains the recruiting coordinator for the defending BIG EAST Red Division champion Bearcats.
"I am honored to be part of the tradition that we are building here at UC," Ensley said. "I am fortunate to work for a University and Department of Athletics that is committed to excellence both on and off the field. We take pride in the culture we create on a daily basis and I look forward to continuing to help our program make an impact on the national level."
Ensley has helped the Bearcats to unprecedented success in his two seasons on the Gettler Stadium sidelines. UC is 21-13-4 over the last two campaigns and won the first BIG EAST team title in school history in 2006, while guiding the club to its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament and the highest national ranking in school history (No. 14). Ensley helped UC land a Top 40 recruiting class in 2006, the first time in program history that a group of newcomers had earned national recognition.
"Dan has done an excellent job as a member of our coaching staff," UC head coach Hylton Dayes said. "He has been instrumental in our transition from Conference to the BIG EAST and is very deserving of this promotion."
