FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team dropped a spring contest against Indiana, 3-0, on Saturday (March 31).

"We didn't play to our potential today," said sophomore Lindsey Noteboom. "We are looking forward to getting back out on the field on Wednesday."

The first half featured a back-and-forth battle with both squads creating scoring chances. Noteboom had a prime opportunity midway through the first half on a breakaway. Her shot was steered away by IU's keeper, however, keeping the contest scoreless.

In th 30th minute, Indiana opened the scoring off a corner kick, taking a 1-0 lead.

The Bearcats struggled early in the second half defensively, allowing a pair of quick goals to fall behind, 3-0.

UC was unable to recover and fell to 2-2 during the spring season.

Andrea Kaminski played the entire match in goal for the Bearcats.

UC will play Wright State in a rescheduled match on Wednesday, April 4, at Gettler Stadium. Kickoff is now set for 7:30 p.m.
